RingRing, the developer of Procedure Checker, explains how information is handled in the app in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information you create in the app
Procedures, steps, groups, completion status, settings and photos you choose to attach are stored on your device. The app does not require an account and does not automatically upload this content to a server operated by the developer. The app uses the Android document picker to access files you select.
2. Backups and sharing
If you export a backup, the app creates a ZIP file containing your procedure data and attached photos. The file is sent to the app or storage destination you select through Android sharing. Imported backups are read to restore app data. Please choose a destination you trust. Android backup and device-transfer services may also back up or transfer app data, depending on your device, operating system and settings. These services and any destination you choose handle information under their own policies.
3. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The app uses Google AdMob to display ads. Google and advertising partners may automatically collect or receive IP addresses (including approximate location inferred from them), device and advertising identifiers, app and ad interactions, and diagnostic information. This information may be used to deliver ads, personalize ads where permitted and based on your choices, measure performance, and detect fraud or abuse. Non-personalized ads may still use information for delivery, measurement and fraud prevention.
The app uses Google's User Messaging Platform to present advertising privacy messages where applicable and manage advertising privacy choices. Where available, you can review or change these choices using Privacy options in the app's Settings. Availability depends on your region, app version and Google's consent requirements. Android and Google account settings may provide additional advertising controls.
4. Usage analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase)
The app includes Google Analytics for Firebase to understand usage and improve the app. The SDK may automatically collect app interactions and events, device and app information, and identifiers such as an app-instance identifier. The procedures and attached photos described in section 1 are not deliberately sent as analytics event content by the app. Advertising consent choices should not be understood as a switch that disables all Firebase Analytics collection.
5. Support correspondence
If you contact the developer by email, your email address, message and any attachments you choose to send are used to respond to your enquiry and investigate reported problems. Do not send sensitive information that is unnecessary for support.
6. Third parties and international processing
Google and its partners process information under their own policies and applicable arrangements. Information may be processed in countries other than where you live. For details about collection, use, retention and available controls, see:
- Google Privacy Policy
- Google advertising technologies
- Privacy and Security in Firebase
- Google Analytics privacy information
7. Retention, deletion and your choices
Local app data remains on your device until you remove it. Items moved to the app's trash may remain until permanently deleted. You can remove the app's local data by clearing its storage in Android settings or uninstalling the app. Separately exported backups and copies stored by other services are not deleted by these actions and must be managed separately; restoring a backup may restore app data.
Support correspondence is retained as needed to handle the enquiry and related follow-up or legal obligations. Retention of information collected by Google and other service providers is governed by their policies and settings. Uninstalling the app does not automatically erase information already collected by those providers.
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information, object to or restrict processing, or withdraw consent. Contact us about information held by the developer. The developer cannot remotely access or delete data stored only on your device; for provider-held information, use the provider's available controls or request channels.
8. Changes and contact
This policy may be updated to reflect changes to the app or its services. Updates will be published on this page with a revised date.
