RingRing provides Hitoma Launcher (formerly Smart Hide Launcher), an ad-supported Android launcher. This policy explains how information is handled when you use the app.
Information stored on your device
Home layouts, app display rules, preferences, and backup data are stored on your device. The launcher accesses installed app information to display and launch apps. We do not send your installed app list, selected app names, search text, or home layout to an analytics service.
You can export a backup using the app. Android may also back up app data according to your device settings. Exported files and device backups are managed separately from the app's local data.
App improvement and earlier Analytics collection
Starting with version 2.4.1, the app does not include Google Analytics for Firebase and does not send app usage events to that service. We use statistics available in Google Play Console, Android vitals, and feedback you choose to provide to improve Hitoma Launcher.
Earlier versions included Google Analytics for Firebase and may continue to collect usage events, device and app information, app-instance identifiers, advertising identifiers, and approximate location until updated. Updating to version 2.4.1 or later stops that app's Firebase Analytics collection but does not delete data already transmitted by earlier versions.
On September 24, 2026, we unlinked Google Analytics from Firebase and AdMob and moved the app's Analytics property to the trash. Google Analytics lists October 29, 2026 as the final deletion date. Deletion is pending, not yet complete. Firebase states that some Analytics data may remain in Firebase after unlinking and is subject to its terms. See Privacy and Security in Firebase for provider information.
Advertising and privacy choices
The app uses Google AdMob to provide advertising after 30 days from the first launch. The advertising SDK may collect and share IP addresses, device identifiers, app and ad interactions, and diagnostic information such as launch time, hang rate, and energy usage. This information is used for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention. IP addresses may be used to estimate approximate location.
Google's User Messaging Platform requests advertising privacy choices where required. When privacy options are required, you can review them from the About screen. You can also manage advertising identifiers in Android settings.
For Google's processing and retention practices, see the Google Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
Data deletion
The app does not require an account. You can remove local app data through Android's app settings or by uninstalling the app. Exported backup files and device backups may need to be deleted separately.
We currently do not provide a process to identify and delete previously transmitted Analytics or advertising data in response to an individual user's request. Removing local app data also does not delete data already transmitted to these services. Provider retention practices and available controls are described in the links above.
Security and external services
The Google Mobile Ads SDK encrypts transmitted data using TLS. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Links opened from the app and external services are governed by their respective privacy policies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes to the app or its data handling. The latest revision date is shown at the top of this page.
