Quick Setup was added in 2.1.0; preserving existing rules was refined in 2.3.0.

Try a home screen that fits your routine

Hitoma Launcher is an Android home app that changes which apps appear according to your schedule. Home Quick Setup walks through choosing apps, setting their display hours, and checking the result. Added in September 2026, it works before you change your default home app. You can place and launch apps first, then decide whether the home suits you.

It brings the “only the apps you need” idea carried over from Smart Hide Launcher into the first setup experience. Here is an example: show apps you tend to open late at night only during the day.

Choose scheduled apps and apps you always use

Choose social or video apps for scheduled display, and maps or communication apps for everyday use. You choose what you need rather than having candidates saved automatically. The initial schedule is 7:00–22:00 every day and can be adjusted to your routine.

  1. Select the apps whose display hours you want to set.
  2. Select apps you always use.
  3. Choose the display hours.
  4. Preview the home screen inside and outside those hours.
  5. Review the result and save it.

What previewing and saving change

The preview compares the home inside and outside the display hours. Widgets appear using provider previews or similar representations. Trying the preview does not change an existing widget’s settings or size.

Saving adds apps to empty positions without moving existing items. Existing display rules also remain. Choosing an app for everyday use does not remove a rule it already has. Adjust your selection if there is not enough room. Initial setup can be skipped and resumed later from Settings.

Where display rules apply

Outside the display hours, Hitoma hides the selected icons and names on home and removes them from the app list. Their positions remain. This does not lock apps, stop notifications, or restrict access through Android settings or other apps.

Time-based changes are applied when you return home and during periodic updates. The display does not necessarily switch at the exact scheduled instant. After making Hitoma the default, you can still switch to another home app in Android settings.

Build your home screen gradually

You do not need to classify every app at once. Start with a few scheduled apps and the apps you use most. Quick Setup is an entry point for gradually adjusting your layout and display hours. View Hitoma Launcher on Google Play.
